AOCC 2023

On behalf of the organizing committee and Korean Association for the Study of Intestinal Diseases, we would like to invite young enthusiastic doctors from Asia to apply for the Great Opportunity for collaboration in the GO IMKASID (Great Opportunity for collaboration in IMKASID) and 11th Annual Meeting of the Asian Organization for Crohn’s & Colitis (AOCC 2023)

The program called GO IMKASID was launched in IMKASID 2019. IMKASID is the acronym for International Meeting on intestinal diseases in conjunction with the annual congress of the Korean Association for the Study of Intestinal Diseases. IMKASID has been held annually or biennially in Korea since 2016.

The GO IMKASID program is intended to promote advancement and collaboration among participating Asian Societies of intestinal diseases. By participating in this program, we expect doctors outside Korea to be able to acquire and develop new knowledge and technical skills about inflammatory bowel diseases, colorectal tumors, advanced colonoscopy and small bowel endoscopy at outstanding training centers in Korea. The training centers will help participating trainees to acquire new knowledge through interesting case conferences, laboratory meeting, ward rounding/expert meetings and therapeutic endoscopy, etc. This newly acquired knowledge and skills are anticipated to be invaluable in promoting patient care back in the applicants’ home country or region. A grant (USD 1,500) will be given to each trainee to cover travel expenses, and accommodation costs.

GO IMKASID will be held from April 10 (Mon) to 12 (Wed) at each training hospital before AOCC.
In addition to the training program, participants of GO IMKASID are invited to AOCC 2023, which will be held from April 13 (Thu) to 15 (Sat) in Busan, Korea. We encourage all young doctors from Asian countries to take an active interest and participate in this program.
