About Busan

Busan is the second largest city in Korea. Its deep harbor and gentle tides have allowed it to grow into the largest container handling port in the country and the fifth largest in the world. The city's natural endowments and rich history have resulted in Busan's increasing reputation as a world class city for tourism and culture, and it is also becoming renowned as a hot spot destination for international conventions.

Tourist Sites

Gwangalli Beach
Gwangalli is a tourist favorite in all four seasons, as it provides a panoramic view of Gwangandaegyo Bridge, one of Busan’s iconic landmarks. Visitors are mesmerized with the beach’s charms day and night. In particular, on fall nights during the Busan Fireworks Festival, the colorful fireworks beautifully light up the night sky over the ocean. More info
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is the only Buddhist temple in Korea located along the sea. It is known for its beautiful scenery and as the starting point of the coastal trail connecting to Daebyeonhang Port. The temple is elegant and full of classically traditional beauty. Thus, the harmony created between the temple, ocean, and mountain is breathtakingly beautiful. More info
Gamcheon Culture Village
Gamcheon Culture Village is a long-time hometown of war refugees. Its entrance will welcome you with a friendly and beautiful sight created over time by its growing art scene. Visitors wearing Hanbok can walk around the alleys with their faces filled with excitement. These winding alleys, which are too narrow for two to walk side by side, give a quaint atmosphere. Beautifully designed signs are also located at every maze-like alley, serving as a guide for visitors. More info
Haeundae Beach Train & Sky Capsule
Haeundae Beach Train is a special train that takes adventure-seekers through Haeundae Mipo, Cheongsapo and Songjeong while providing the finest coastal view of East Busan.
Haeundae Sky Capsule provides the seascape of Haeundae from an aerial tram that runs 10m up in the air. Make special memories with your friends and family inside the sky capsule that provides private boarding of your party. Enjoy the most relaxing moments by relishing magnificent ocean views. More info
Busan X-the Sky
BUSAN X the SKY is located in the second highest building in Korea, Haeundae LCT the Sharp (411.6 m). In this highest, biggest-scale observatory, you can view the wide-spread ocean of Haeundae and the beautiful city of Busan.​ On top of the world-famous landmark of Busan such as the Gwangandaegyo (Diamond Bridge) and Marine City, you can view the day and night of Busan while you enjoy the premium services of the interior media facade, lounge, and casual cafe. Huinnyeoul Culture Village
Huinnyeoul Culture Village is one of the attractions in Yeongdo that you shouldn’t miss. Known as Santorini in Korea, it was reborn by the local artists and residents who joined in renovating this old neighborhood. Filled with beautifully crafted murals together with a clear view of the sea, this place is perfect for taking the best shot in your life. In addition, the idyllic landscape of the fishing village will leave you breathless, as you walk along the narrow alleys in the village, facing the sea as its yard. More info
Songdo Beach
Songdo Beach is the first beach in Korea. You can enjoy the sandy beach, clear water, and cloud trails while riding an overwater cable car over Songdo Beach.
The Cloud Trail is the largest Skywalk in Busan. The views of the Songdo Sea seen from the cloud trail are captivating as large ships float on the ocean far away like specks while colorful cable cars go up and down. The cable car is a crystal cabin that glides between Songnim Park and Amnam Park to let you enjoy the ocean and cliffs of unique rock formations under your feet. More info
Bupyeong Kkangtong Market
Bupyeong Kkangtong Market is a place that attracts visitors with its delicious aroma coming from the alley’s entrance, which gets even more delightful at night.
After 7:00pm, cart pubs will line up on one side of the passage, and stores will do so as well on the other side. Round tables and square plastic chairs are set up along the long market alley. Head to Bupyeong Kkangtong Market, where there’s plenty of tasty Korean food and snacks until dawn! More info
Dadaepo beach
Dadaepo Beach, where Nakdonggang River and the South Sea meet, allows you to enjoy the beauty of nature with Busan’s sunrise, sunset, and sandy beach. At the entrance of the beach, the coastal park greets visitors with the largest sunset fountain in the world, presenting a magnificent sight with its colorful lighting, music, and dancing fountain. The fountain show held regularly between the end of April and October awaits night travelers. More info
